School Hours
Start of the Day
The school gates are open from 8.20am. School begins at 8.30am and ends at 3pm. We provide toast for the children to eat during this time if they wish.
Our school also provides daily early start session at 8am. Places are limited so if you would like your child to attend, ask at the office for more information.
Lunchtime
Lunchtime is between 12 - 1pm. Children who go home for dinner must be collected at the office. Due to health and safety, they must not return to school before 12.50pm.
Hometime
At the end of the school day, children in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 must be collected by an adult (16 years old or older). If your child is going to be collected by someone different, you must contact school to tell us. We will not allow children to go with adults who have no authority to do so.
Children in Key Stage 2 are allowed to go home by themselves. However, if you wish for your child to be collected, inform the class teacher and they will make sure your child does not leave until they are collected.
We understand that sometimes you will be late. If you are going to be late 10 minutes or more collecting your child, please contact school so we can make arrangements for your child.
Early Start Club
We run a daily Early Start Club during term time from 7.50am to 8.20am. Children will participate in a wide range of fun and creative activities that will build social skills and confidence. Normal school rules always apply to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children.
If you would like to apply for a place, please contact the school for a registration form. There is a daily charge of £1.00 per day/£5.00 per week via ParentPay. Payment can be paid weekly, monthly or termly but must be paid prior to the start of the week.
Wraparound Care
We do not provide Wraparound Care but our Family Support Worker will be happy to support parents to find suitable provision if needed. You may also visit Leicester City Council Family Information page for more information about the following out of school care:
Breakfast Clubs - These provide a safe place for your child to wait until school starts and many can provide a healthy, low cost breakfast. They normally run for less than two hours and therefore do not have to be registered with Ofsted.
After School Clubs - After school clubs are activity based care that is offered when the school day has finished. As we do not offer this service, they will be delivered at other venues. Some clubs may take children from different schools and may provide a collection service.
Holiday Playschemes - Playschemes take place during school holidays and offer lots of activities, arts, sports and indoor and outdoor fun. Most playschemes are booked in advance to secure a place, however some may be open access where children can just turn up on the day.
